In preparation for the show, we chatted with Managing Director, Lee House, about UK product debuts, advice for new starters and hot industry topics…
What do you value or enjoy the most about exhibiting at PLASA Show?
For decades now, the PLASA Show has been the single best placer where the industry can get together and reinforce relationships, present new products and enjoy time with industry friends. With the addition of the seminars, the show offers huge value to all interested or involved in the industry.
What products or services will Ambersphere showcase at PLASA Show this year?
This year we are again proud to bring the very latest from our partners to the PLASA Show. New innovations from Ayrton with the first UK showing of Veloce Profile and Rivale Wash. As well as the very latest launched product Kyalami and Nando 502 Wash. Astera’s latest award-winning LunaBulb will be front and centre of the stand. And also we will of course have the very latest in MA3 software and zactrack.
What is the overall vision/purpose of Ambersphere?
We aim to be the trusted partner for the latest technology, superior service, and expert support and training. We are renowned for our cutting-edge technologies, industry expertise, and commitment to fostering creativity.
What advice do you have for new starters in the industry?
Tenacity. Don’t give up. This industry is made up of people that want to be here. And if you want to be here enough keep pushing, make yourself known to the people you want to work with. The other word of advice I have is the Listen. Take in what you’re hearing around you. Listen to the team around you and engage. Bring ideas but don’t bring assumptions. The industry is full of people that, when working together and listening to each other, are capable of anything.
Are there any topics that the industry should be talking about more?
Over the last couple of years the industry has become much better at talking about things. Since the advent of WeMakeEvents, the voice of the industry has become much louder. Topics like, Sustainability, Wellbeing, Diversity, Culture and Mental Health have become front and centre. The industry is doing a good job of talking about them, we just need to make sure that more people become involved and help make a difference for all.
What’s so great about working in the entertainment technology industry?
If you look around at the myriad of people at the PLASA Show, you can see what is great about working in this industry. It doesn’t matter what aspect of the industry you work in; everyone is working towards the one main goal. Spreading joy and happiness to the millions of people that view the results every year.
